Wales

The culture of Wales is very deeply connected to that of both Brittany, and of the Old North – the Celtic land that once existed in northern Britain on which much of the content of this site focusses. All three are – or were – Brythonic cultures; all trace their origin to an ancestral Celtic people called the Britons. It is in Wales that some of the most fascinating remnants of that ancient culture survive; this site will attempt to explore them, and to illuminate how they connect to the cultures of both northern Britain and of Brittany. As Wales also contains some of the finest wild landscapes in all of Britain, it will also attempt to showcase some of the finest of the adventures it has to offer. Although it falls last on the list of places covered in this site, it is definitely not least!

Cadair Idris – Mountain of Madness, or the Peak of Inspiration? – A beautiful mountain, wrapped up in some powerful legends.

Meini Hirion – the Most Beautiful Stone Circle in Wales? – A gem of a site, hidden away on the moors of North Wales.
